Integrity. Commitment. ResultsSydney has practiced in the BVI for the past 34 years; and has acted on a number of occasions as a Justice of Appeal in the Court of Appeal of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.
In his 43 years of practice Sydney has advised and successfully represented Governments, government departments, statutory bodies and corporations, public utilities, banks and other financial institutions, insurance companies, liquidators, receivers, a hotel chain and other leading business organizations and individuals throughout the Eastern Caribbean region, appearing in arbitration and other proceedings, in trials in the High Court and Court of Appeal in the British Virgin Islands and elsewhere and before the Privy Council in London.

Anthea has 29 years of experience in the legal field -22 years as a practicing lawyer.
Anthea has extensive experience in the Courts up to the level of the Court of Appeal and regularly advises businesses, business persons and other individuals in the BVI.
For more than ten (10) years Anthea has represented, advised and acted for one of the leading banks in the BVI.
Anthea also represents and advises a number of statutory bodies in the BVI.
Civil Litigation, Banking, Property, Wills and Estate Planning, Probate, Shipping and Admiralty, Employment and Commercial Law.

Ingrid has been employed in the Financial Services Industry for the past 23 years. For the past 13 years, she has served as the manager of a local BVI Trust Company. She obtained a Diploma in Compliance from ICSA.

Ingrid is involved in a number of community groups and in her spare time she also enjoys singing and travelling.

As Associate Lawyer, Mr. Ricardo G.M. Maddan advises on a wide range of shipping and admiralty, commercial, public law, labour/employment and general civil and commercial litigation matters.
Prior to joining the SABALS Team, he was a practicing lawyer in Jamaica since 2016 with a focus on civil and commercial litigation, conveyancing/land transactions and estate management (Will, Probates, etc). Ricardo later joined the Attorney General’s Chambers in Jamaica as a Crown Counsel and was later elevated to Assistant Attorney General (Ag.) where he focused on major aspects of Public Law including Judicial Review, Land Acquisition, Constitutional Matters amongst other areas.
Ricardo has litigated in various courts including the Magistrate’s Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal. He has successfully represented his private clients and the Crown in numerous matters.
